Fly Lufthansa's Boeing 747-8 or Airbus A380 to Germany in Business Class From 60,000 Aeroplan Points!

Lufthansa business class to Germany on its two double-decker planes, booked with Air Canada Aeroplan points.

Boeing 747-8: New York JFK to Frankfurt (LH401), 60,000 Aeroplan points one way per person.
Airbus A380: Washington Dulles to Munich (LH415), 75,000 Aeroplan points one way per person.
Seats.aero shows taxes and fees of about CAD $80 on both. Aeroplan may add a partner booking fee, so check the final total.

747-8 dates (2027), 9 in all:

- August: 1, 2, 3, 9

A380 dates (2027), 20 in all:
- March: 29, 30
- July: 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27, 31
- August: 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 16

Most dates show 9 seats. August 5 (6), August 11 (3) and August 12 (4) on the A380 show fewer.

The 747-8 has a small upper-deck business cabin (2-2), but an upstairs seat isn't guaranteed. Lufthansa is fitting some A380s with a new 1-2-1 business cabin with aisle access for everyone; older ones are 2-2-2. Check the seat map for your flight, and keep an eye on your booking, since Lufthansa can swap the plane.

1. Go to aircanada.com, sign in to Aeroplan and choose to book with points.
2. Search one way JFK to FRA (747-8) or IAD to MUC (A380) on one of the dates above.
3. Pick LH401 or LH415 in Business.
4. Make sure the seats, the 60,000 or 75,000 point price and the taxes still show before you move any points. Amex, Chase, Capital One and Bilt transfer to Aeroplan; check the ratio first, because transfers can't be undone.
